Payment Policy
How paid access to Lanalyste is sold, charged, renewed, cancelled and refunded. It forms part of the Terms of Service.
1What this covers
This policy applies to paid access to the Lanalyste exam simulator, sold by Abdessamad Tirhzaoui, carrying on business as Lanalyste, a sole proprietorship registered in Québec, Canada (NEQ 2280937873). It sits alongside the Terms of Service; where the two speak to the same point, the Terms govern.
Business address:
1308-1180 Rue de Bleury
Montréal, Québec H3B 0H2
Canada
Paid access is offered for the CBAP® simulator. The ECBA™, CCBA® and PMI-PBA® simulators are shown as coming soon and cannot yet be purchased. Secure payment is not open yet: checkout shows your selection and total, but no payment can be completed until card processing is enabled.
2What is sold
Lanalyste sells access to the exam simulator for one certification. There are two ways to buy it, and they behave differently — which one you chose determines when you are charged, whether anything renews, and what cancelling means.
- One month, with a single automatic extension: the initial month is charged when you buy. One further month is then charged automatically, once. After that one extension, automatic renewal ends permanently — this is not an ongoing subscription and it will not keep charging you month after month.
- Three months and six months: a single payment for the period chosen. These never renew automatically.
- Further access, on any plan: an extension you expressly choose and pay for. Extensions are sold in units of one month, in quantities of one, two, three or six. No extension renews automatically, and buying one never authorises a later charge.
- Certification: one per purchase, either way. Access does not extend to another certification's simulator.
- French explanations: an optional addition, priced separately at checkout. Questions and answer choices remain in English.
- Promotional codes: where one is offered, a valid code can change the price on the conditions disclosed with that code. No standing discount applies automatically.
A purchase buys access to the Lanalyste simulator and learning content only. Official certification, application, membership, examination, course, book and rescheduling fees are charged by other organisations and are not included.
Access is to the exam simulator as it exists at the time of purchase. Territories described on the platform page as direction rather than availability are not included in any purchase, and no purchase is a commitment to build them.
3Prices, currency and taxes
- Main access, for the certification on sale: one month C$59 · US$45 · €39; three months C$139 · US$99 · €89; six months C$179 · US$129 · €115.
- Extensions follow the same structure: one month C$59 · US$45 · €39; two months C$118 · US$90 · €78; three months C$139 · US$99 · €89; six months C$179 · US$129 · €115.
- French explanations: C$7 · US$5 · €5 for each block of 10 consecutive days — C$14 · US$10 · €10 for twenty days, C$21 · US$15 · €15 for thirty, C$42 · US$30 · €30 for sixty. There is no duration discount: the total is always the number of blocks times the block price.
- Three fixed prices, not a conversion: every amount above is set independently in Canadian dollars, in US dollars and in euros. None is calculated from another, none is an estimate or an approximation, and none moves with an exchange rate. You are charged the amount belonging to the currency selected or displayed at your checkout, and that amount does not change between the moment it is shown to you and the moment it is charged.
- Taxes: displayed prices are shown before tax. Tax is calculated from your billing location and the law that applies there, and the total including tax is shown before payment is confirmed.
- In Canada: GST and QST are collected where they are required, and our registration numbers appear on every receipt.
- Outside Canada: where Lanalyste is legally required to calculate and collect a tax on your purchase, that tax is added at checkout and shown before payment is confirmed. Where we are not required to collect it, you may still be responsible for reporting and paying whatever tax your own jurisdiction requires on the purchase. We cannot advise you on that obligation.
The price shown at the point of purchase is the price charged. Where tax is added at checkout, the total including tax is shown before payment is confirmed.
Lanalyste intends to sell worldwide. Paid checkout is closed everywhere until card processing is connected, tax handling for the countries we sell to is configured and tested, and the merchant details a consumer sale must disclose are published in this policy. Until all three are done, no purchase can be made from any country.
4How payment is taken
Major credit and debit cards will be accepted through our payment processor. Lanalyste does not receive or store full card numbers: the processor handles card data under its own terms and security standards, and we receive only the confirmation that a payment succeeded together with the details needed to open the matching access.
Payment is not enabled yet. No payment processor is connected, no card details are collected anywhere on this site, and nothing you do at checkout can charge you. Until it is enabled, checkout shows the selection and the total but cannot take a payment, and no access can be purchased. The processor and the exact card brands accepted are named in this policy once processing is live and has been tested — we do not name them in advance of that.
By purchasing, you confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.
5When you are charged, and renewal
One-month plan, and its single automatic extension
You are charged C$59 · US$45 · €39 when you buy — the amount for the currency you bought in — for the first month. One further month of main access is then charged automatically, once, at the end of it, at that same amount, in that same currency: the extension is never re-quoted, re-priced or converted at the time it is taken. French explanations are never part of that charge: buying them with the initial plan does not authorise an automatic French charge, and coverage does not continue into the additional month. That is the only automatic charge this plan will ever make: after it, automatic renewal ends permanently and nothing further is taken. The extension is charged at the price disclosed and accepted when you bought.
Three-month and six-month plans
You are charged once, when you buy, for the period you chose. These plans have no automatic charge of any kind.
Before the automatic extension is charged
Seven days before that single charge, we send you a reminder by email stating the date it will be taken and the exact amount. You can decline the extension at any time before then. Once the Account and Billing area of the simulator exists, you will be able to decline it there. Until it does, write to contact@lanalyste.ca and we will cancel the scheduled charge.
On every plan, access begins when payment is confirmed. On the three- and six-month plans it ends when the period purchased ends. On the one-month plan it ends one month later, or two months later if the automatic extension is charged. After that, access continues only if you buy an extension.
6Extensions you choose
Once an initial plan — and, on the one-month plan, its single automatic extension — has run, any further access is an extension you buy expressly. Nothing is charged unless you choose it and pay for it.
- Extensions are sold in units of one month, in quantities of one, two, three or six.
- Extensions are priced on the same structure as the initial plans: one month at the one-month price, two months at that price taken twice, three months at the same discounted rate as the initial three-month plan, and six months at the same discounted rate as the initial six-month plan. The optional French explanations follow the same structure.
- Every extension needs your explicit acceptance and payment. Accepting one extension never authorises a later charge.
- No extension renews automatically. There is no standing arrangement and nothing to cancel.
- An extension adds its months to the end of your current access. It does not restart or replace the period you are in.
- You choose separately, each time, whether that extension includes French explanations.
Where a promotional code is offered, a valid code can change the price of an extension on the conditions disclosed with it.
7French explanations
French explanations are a separate product, bought on their own and never bundled into a plan price. They explain, in French, why the correct option is the strongest and why each incorrect one is weaker. Questions and answer choices remain in English.
- Price: C$7 · US$5 · €5 for each block of 10 consecutive days. Blocks may be bought in any number from one to six, and the total is always the number of blocks times the block price. There is no duration discount and no monthly rate.
- Activation: coverage does not begin when you pay for it. It begins when you choose to activate it.
- Continuous once activated: blocks bought together form one unbroken run — three blocks are thirty consecutive days. Coverage cannot be paused, divided, suspended or restarted once it has started.
- Never automatic: French coverage never renews. Buying more is always a separate, explicit purchase, and buying some never authorises a later charge.
- Adding more: blocks bought while coverage is running extend the run. If coverage has already lapsed, newly bought blocks start a fresh run that you activate again.
- Bound to main access: French coverage requires active main simulator access, and it never extends when that access ends.
- Never beyond paid access: activation cannot create coverage running past the main access you have already paid for. A scheduled but unpaid automatic extension does not count towards the time available, because it may still be declined or fail. If you do not have enough paid time left for the duration you want, extend your main access first.
- Not part of the automatic extension: the one automatic main-access charge on the 1-month plan is C$59 · US$45 · €39 for main access only. French coverage is never included in it and never continues into that additional month; covering that month means buying blocks for it explicitly.
Blocks you have bought but not yet activated do not expire. They stay in your account until you choose to start them.
- What they need is active paid main access, not a deadline. If your main access lapses, unused blocks are kept — they simply cannot be activated while there is no main access running.
- Buying or extending main access makes those stored blocks activatable again. Nothing is lost in the meantime.
- Once you activate them, the days run continuously from that moment and cannot be paused or stopped.
If you close your account, unused blocks you have never activated are lost. We tell you so before you confirm the closure, so the choice is made with that in front of you.
8Refunds
Except where required by applicable law, purchases are non-refundable once access has been made available. Changing your mind after access has been opened is not, by itself, a ground for a refund.
Five things are often confused with a refund. They are not the same, and only the last is one:
- Declining the automatic extension: stops that one future charge. It does not refund the month already paid for, and it does not end your current access.
- Access expiring: the paid period simply runs out. Nothing is charged and nothing is refunded.
- Buying an extension: a new purchase you chose. It adds time; it does not alter or refund what came before.
- Closing your account: your choice to stop using the service. Closing an account does not create a refund on its own.
- A refund required by law: where applicable law entitles you to one, you receive it. If a refund is issued, the access it paid for may be revoked or shortened to match.
Refund requests go to contact@lanalyste.ca. We normally acknowledge a request within two business days. Where a refund is required by applicable law, it is processed within the period that law requires. Nothing in this policy waives a right you have under Quebec or Canadian consumer-protection law.
Nothing in a refund policy limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law, which continue to apply regardless of what is written here.
One point is settled and does not depend on the model chosen: no refund is conditional on an exam result, and no exam outcome is guaranteed. See the Terms of Service.
9Cancellation
Declining the one automatic extension
If you bought the one-month plan, you can decline its single automatic extension at any time before it is charged, in the Account and Billing area once it exists or by writing to contact@lanalyste.ca until then. Declining stops that charge. It does not reverse a charge already taken, and it does not cut short access you have already paid for — that continues until it expires normally. After the extension, further access is always a purchase you choose.
Three-month and six-month plans, and every extension
These never renew, so there is no future charge to prevent and nothing to cancel. Access ends when the period you bought ends.
Cancelling a future charge and refunding a past one are different things. See Refunds above.
10Failed payments
The automatic extension
If the payment for the single automatic extension does not succeed, the additional month is not granted and we do not try the charge again. We will tell you it did not go through and, if you still want that month, you can buy an extension yourself. Access you have already paid for is unaffected and runs to its normal end.
An initial purchase or an extension
If the payment does not complete, the access is not opened and no charge stands. You can try again.
11Price changes
We may change prices. A change never affects a payment already taken.
The price charged is the price shown when you bought, for the whole period bought. The single automatic extension is charged at the C$59 · US$45 · €39 disclosed to you and accepted at that checkout, in the currency of that purchase, and a later price change never alters it. An extension you buy later is charged at the price displayed when you buy it. We do not change a price you have already agreed to.
12Receipts and records
A written confirmation is sent by email for every purchase, to the address used at checkout, and it is yours to keep. It states the certification and plan bought, the access duration and when access begins, the price before tax together with the currency charged, the taxes applied, the total charged, and, where Canadian tax was collected, our GST and QST registration numbers.
Where the purchase is the one-month plan, the confirmation also states that a single automatic extension of one month at C$59 · US$45 · €39, in the currency of the purchase, is scheduled, the date it falls, and how to decline it. Where French-access blocks were bought, it states how many, that they do not expire, and that you activate them yourself. Our registration numbers are GST 777762170RT0001 and QST 4054562271TQ0001.
13Disputes and chargebacks
Closing your account cancels any automatic extension that has not yet been charged, so no further payment is taken. Closing an account does not create a refund on its own, and it does not by itself end access you have already paid for — we ask you to confirm before any active paid access is ended. Unused French-access blocks that you have never activated are lost when an account is closed, and we warn you of that before you confirm.
If something looks wrong on a charge, write to contact@lanalyste.ca before raising it with your card issuer — most billing problems are resolved faster directly. Messages are read and answered individually rather than through a support queue, so allow a few days for a reply; no shorter response time is promised.
Where a chargeback is raised, we may suspend access to the account concerned while the dispute is being resolved.
